What I Bought In Birmingham

18:00:00

Yesterday everyone was busy or out of town, so I decided to take myself to Birmingham to treat myself to some new bits and bobs after having got a new job and bagged myself a 2:1 for my degree!

I've split this post into two; first clothes and shoes and the second just other bits and bobs.

Grey bodysuit top: Primark £8.00
I really like wearing bodysuits but only have a plain black one which I only really wear out. This one is a cold shoulder one, and I thought it was nicer than having a grey and white striped t-shirt bodysuit. I saw this top before I'd even walked into Primark and knew I was going to get it if it fitted. My whole wardrobe seems to be black, grey or white so I think this is pretty me!

Green top: H&M £9.99
As I've just mentioned, most of my wardrobe is black, grey or white, so I thought this green top would add a bit of colour. I saw someone else holding one while I was in the queue to pay for the other top, so I had to go back and grab it!

Grey cold shoulder top: H&M £7.99
I'm a huge fan of the cold shoulder look. I saw this one in H&M for under £8 and thought it would go well with jeans both during summer and winter. It's a ribbed material too which I quite like.

Shoes: Primark £5.00
I'm not a big wearer of flat shoes like these, and usually stick to my Converse or boots. So I thought I'd give these a go as they go well with normal jeans or leggings. I do need to buy some insoles before I wear them though, because although they fit me length-wise and width-wise, they're slightly too big around the tops of my toes.

Coffee pods: Nespresso store in Selfridges £9.90 for three packs of 10.
As a HUGE lover of coffee, I love to stock up on Nespresso coffee pods while I'm in Birmingham. I hate paying the £5 postage when I order them online so I thought I may as well make a quick purchase on my way home. Hopefully I have enough to last me until my birthday next month where my parents should hopefully be getting me some more!

Pink nail varnish: Barry M at Boots £3.99
I used this nail varnish last night for the first time and I was slightly disappointed at first. It looked quite a pale pink, which was different to the colour that was shown on the swatch in Boots when it was on.

Sparkly nail varnish: Barry M at Boots £2.99
Again, I used this nail varnish for the first time and put it over the pink to add a bit of umpf! I was quite pleased with how they turned out after I'd added the glitter, so this could be the colour I do my nails for graduation!

Weekly planner: Abigail Warner at John Lewis £6.00 (in the sale too!)
I had a gift card to use from Christmas (I know, that's terrible isn't it?!) and I came across this in the sales. I've wanted one for ages, but haven't had the time or money to go and actually buy one. But to me, I see this as being free if I used a gift card!

Glass jar: Tiger £1.00
I actually love shopping in Tiger. I might actually do a haul post from there next month! I've been wanting a glass jar for a while now, so I may have a cheeky mojito or smoothie in this next weekend!

Glasses case: Primark £2.50
Nobody wants a scratched pair of glasses, so I bought this for my new sunglasses (even though I only keep them in my car!). This rose gold case matches my make up bag/pencil case really well so I just had to have it!

What's been your favourite purchase recently?
