Budapest Highlights!

18:01:00

As you probably know from my Twitter and Instagram, I've recently been to Budapest. I thought I'd make a blog post to share my experiences and highlights with you all!

On our first day there, we got the cable car (which was basically a ski lift) to one of the highest points in Budapest. This was taken from the top of the tower located at the top.

We basically went straight from the bottom of the cable car to the main touristy area in Buda. The photo on the left is of the cathedral, known as the Matthias Church. Pretty much next to the cathedral is Fisherman's Bastion which is really cute!

The next day we didn't do much (just had a spa day at the hotel), but in the evening we went to Heroes' Square. It's a bit of a combination of the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin and Nelson's Column in London, but obviously has very different meanings.

This was taken at the Szechenyi Spa Baths. It's a really unusual looking building, but the pools are amazing! If you're planning a trip to Budapest any time soon, I would definitely recommend!

This one was taken on our last evening in Budapest. We walked (god knows how far) up a hill in the dark and rain just to get this amazing view of the city. Last year I walked it in 42 degrees which was a significant difference to this time!

It's one of my favourite cities (well, I have been there twice in less than a year now!) and I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Where are you heading off to on holiday this year?
