My Morning Routine

On a work day, I usually get out of bed at 7am (I start at 8) and go straight downstairs for breakfast. I'm one of those people who really can't function or do anything until they've eaten first thing. I'll grab a coffee from our Nespresso machine and take it back upstairs with me so it can cool down while I'm getting ready.

Then I'll go and get in the shower, do my hair and put a small amount of make up on (it's only work after all!) and obviously get dressed.

My morning beauty routine: I'll always remove my make up before I go to bed using my Boots make up wipes, but just in case I've missed any, I'll always remove it again to make sure. I'll then moisturise my face as it gets so dry in this weather! I don't have an awful lot of time and I'd much rather stay in bed as long as possible, so make up on a work day isn't really a priority (especially as it's only going to be babies who will see me!)

I'll usually do all this before 7:50, and because my work is only a two minute walk from my house, I'll literally leave the house at 7:55 most days!

My Evening Routine

I don't finish work until 6, so one of the first things I'll do when I come home is eat dinner, because I'm usually super hungry. I'll also check my phone and catch up on Twitter and Facebook and everything else if I haven't had chance to do it during the day.

Because I work with children, I usually like to wind down in the evenings. Rather than watching tv, I'll tend to read my Kindle, catch up with my blog or watch something on Netflix.

My evening beauty routine: About an hour before going to bed, I like to take all my make up off (if I've bothered to put any on!). I'll then use my Miscellar Cleansing Water to make sure I haven't missed any thing, before using my evening moisturiser. Usually I'll skip the cleansing if I've not worn make up that day.

On a work night, I'll get into bed at around 10, and check my phone or read a book until about 10:30. I don't like to go to sleep too late, otherwise I'm really grouchy first thing the next day which isn't fun!

What's your daily routine?

As you may be able to tell from previous photos of me, I have really thin and short hair, which struggles to grow after it reaches my shoulders. I've been trying out a number of different products, from shampoos to tablets, in order to try and thicken it and help it grow for a number of years now with very little success. Until now.

I'm currently taking Viviscal hair growth vitamins (see box below). I take two each day - one in the morning (usually after breakfast) and one in the evening (before bed). I've only been taking them for about a month, but I've already been able to see the difference in the condition of my hair. Okay, I had my hair cut during the second week of taking them, but I can already tell it's thickened and grown a fair bit since.

The only down side to these vitamins is they're pretty pricey, and cost around £42 for a month's supply (OUCH!).

But, like I said, I've only been taking them for about 6 weeks and I've already seen a good change to my hair! I've also noticed that it doesn't seem to fall out as much as it used to, which is obviously a good sign!

I'd really recommend these vitamins if you have thin hair and are looking to grow your hair!

I'm graduating in less than a month (YAY!) and still haven't got a dress or anything! (Please tell me I'm not the only one!)

Budget

Miss Selfridge £45 (available here)

I tried this one on the other day and fell in love with it. At £45 I can't really go wrong, especially as I can always wear it for another occasion (like a wedding). The colour would really stand out under my robes which would be really nice.

Mid Range

Lipsy £65 (available here)

I have a massive love for Lipsy, having bought my prom dress from them a few years ago, and my mum buying a beautiful dress for her cruise recently. I know the sizing, so I shouldn't need to make any alterations to the dress. The colour would go with any coloured shoes, which should make it easier. It's also one of those dresses which could be worn at another occasion.

Blow Out

Ted Baker £179 (available here)

A bit out of my budget, but I couldn't resist adding this Ted Baker dress to my list. It's a gorgeous colour, and would go well with a nude colour bag (like the one in the photo) and some white or nude shoes.

I always like having something exciting to do over the summer, and I always like to have something to work towards too. So here are a few of my plans for this summer, and some of the things I would like to do.

Go glamping

If you've not heard of this, it's basically glamorous camping (where you get a proper bed)! It's something I've wanted to do for a while, but had nobody to go with, so hopefully this summer I'll finally get an opportunity to do this!

Get a job related to children

I've been unemployed since Christmas (I had to quit my job because of uni), so I'm feeling rather poor. Working in something relevant to what I want to do will not only get me some more ££, but will also give me more experience to help me in my career!

One thing I haven't done since starting university has been reading for pleasure rather for learning. I'm hoping to read at least 3 books this summer!

Get clothes for university in September

I'm always buying clothes, but I'm also always returning them (I hate trying stuff on in the changing rooms!). My aim for this summer is to get a new wardrobe ready for September, and hopefully placements for next year!

Have a movie night with friends
I'm all up for having a movie marathon or just watching a film with some popcorn!

I'm really into selling old clothes and accessories on eBay and Depop at the moment, and have sold nearly 100 old and unused items in the last year! I thought I'd give you guys a few tips on how to successfully sell your own stuff on there too!

Photo Tips

Try and make sure you take photos in good lighting, with a plain background (if you can). I always take my photos with the clothes on the hangers against my wardrobe (you can usually prop the hanger on the top of the door). This is key so that your buyers can see exactly what it is you're selling them.

If you're selling clothes, try and take photos of yourself wearing them. This will give buyers an idea of the sizing. Don't worry if your clothes don't fit though!

eBay and Depop Charges

Of course, selling on eBay and Depop isn't free, so please please be aware of their costs.

eBay like to charge you 10% of the total cost when you sell your item, and this includes postage. They also (sneakily) like to charge you when your buyer pays through PayPal (this is around 7%).

Depop however, only charge 10% through selling on there, and that's only if your buyer actually buys the item through their app. If your buyer chooses to pay via PayPal Friends and Family (where you give them your email address for PayPal), there is absolutely no charge. However, this means you don't get any feedback through Depop. This is more ideal for sellers who have sold a lot of items in the past rather than for new sellers.

Pricing

If you're selling a pair of Topshop jeans (which Topshop tend to sell for around £30-40), have a look at how much other sellers are selling theirs for before you list yours. This will give you an idea of how much you can expect to receive from your own sellers. If you want a bit more, or you think your item is in better condition, then you can ask for more if you wish.

If you're into selling on eBay, I'd definitely recommend selling items through Buy It Now. If you want to accept offers on your item, make sure you put 'Accept Offers' on so buyers don't think they have to pay the full asking price.

Postage

I've seen a lot of people on both eBay and Depop who try to rip their buyers off with high postage charges. For a small parcel (that's usually anything about the size of a pair of shoes in a box, or a small coat), Royal Mail charge £2.85 for second class. However, I've seen people on Depop trying to charge people around £4 for second class postage. If you want to attract your buyers, make sure you charge them at the current postage rates, or offer free postage if you can. You can find these through the Royal Mail website.

If you want to receive good feedback from your buyers, make sure you post your item when you say you will. There's no point saying to buyers on eBay that you'll post their item within three working days if you're unable to, so be honest with them, or drop them a message if you can't post for another couple of days (they're usually fine with that!).

Also, when you do post your item, make sure you ask for PROOF OF POSTAGE. This can be sent to your buyer if they say they haven't received their item, and if they decide to complain through eBay or Depop, you have proof that you posted it. I've recently had an issue where a buyer has told me they haven't received their item, but because I had proof of postage, it was completely out of my hands.

Feedback

If you've posted items but not received any feedback, drop your buyer a message, and check their item has arrived and their happy with it. This can then either lead them to respond to your message (which you can publish to your sellers on Depop as feedback), or leave you official feedback through eBay and Depop.

General Tips

Make sure you wash the item before you list or post it (especially if it's clothing or shoes).

Be completely honest about how much the item has been used or worn. Buyers will generally know if the item has been used more than you say.

Don't try and sell items with holes or any damage unless you mention it in the listing. I've recently seen a number of people on Depop taking photos of their damaged items which they have received from sellers.
